Happy Homemaker Monday

 Good Morning Friends !

I hope you had a wonderful week . South Louisiana had Five days of Rain with Sun on Sunday. Making it the perfect day to Grill and start some yard work. This week will be in 70's with rain for Friday.

Morning walk with Blue:

Blue (our rescue pup)  and I went on a long walk this morning very early. It's the perfect time to see whats blooming and discover all the forgotten gems in the yard. Blue's noise always leads the way on our walks.

Morning Breakfast :

Lots of Coffee and toast. Followed by a yogurt smoothie for a mid morning snack

  • 8 ounces (1 heaping cup) frozen mixed berries
  •  6 ounces Plain  Yogurt
  •  1 /2  cup  Milk
  •  1/2 banana : smashed
  •   4 ice cubes
  •  a little Sugar or honey (depending on taste.
  • Put all ingredients in blender and blend till smooth.

  • Week Menu:
  • Mon : left over Chicken & sides
  • Tues:  Pasta Salad % chicken
  • Wed :   Chicken & dumpling
  • Thurs :   Red Beans & Rice
  •  Friday :  Shrimp stew

  • This week plans :
  • I always start the week off with cleaning up from the weekend and during laundry & household chores. Then I try to work on my blogs and answer emails from this week and schedule any post I need too. I also open the library  two days a week and help in the office at city hall. Volunteering is a big part of our life and there always something to do.

  • Free time  : TV & Reading
  • With all the Rain we had it was time to do some binge watching . We steam TV - so I watch a lot of old tv series and movies . But I will confess I am a big Star Trek fan.
  • From My book Blog :
  • While growing up we had Ms. Bess who drove our Book Mobile in our rural town. She was a wonderful lady and sparked my love of Reading..... Lisa

With the help of her rescue cat, Eddie, librarian Minnie Hamilton is driving a bookmobile based in the resort town of Chilson, Michigan. But she’d better keep both hands on the wheel, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride…

  • Library on Wheels: Mary Lemist Titcomb and America’s First Bookmobile

f you can’t bring the man to the books, bring the books to the man.

  • Bible Journaling  class :

  • I teach this class weekly at church.  We use the Sunday's sermon for inspiration.

Isaiah 43:19   King James Version

19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

What does it mean when God says he is doing a new thing?

When God is doing something new, it sometimes requires us to step into the unknown, which may feel uncomfortable, scary, and even unpleasant at first. We might be tempted to hold on to the life we know where everything is familiar. But we need to let go of the old, trust God and embrace what He is doing
